When designing anything from a logo or leaflet through to a room, colours are really important. Certain colours make us think of certain things and therefore you need to bear this in mind when designing.

For example, if you want to promote a natural or environmentally friendly product or service you are most likely to use browns and greens. If you are wanting to create a vivid and funky product or service then you may wish to use colours such as red, orange and yellow.

Most designers will be able to advise you of colours that not only work well with your business ethos but also that work well together. Your logo may need to be created in two colourways i.e. black on white and white on black to allow it to be used in a number of different documents or places, again the designer will be able to advise you on this.
