Creating a Design Portfolio

Every Graphic designer requires a portfolio, especially if they are serious about gaining a job and starting a career in Graphic Design. Your design portfolio grows as you do, and it should show what you’re capable of, and show that kind of experience you have.

The perfect Graphic design portfolio will be carefully thought through; from background colour, to case, to organisation. You should look at your portfolio as if you’re an employer, and it’s important that the first pages grab your attention, if they don’t then reordering or replacing of graphics may be ideal

You shouldn’t just throw everything and everything into your graphic design portfolio, and the designs you choose should all be carefully selected because they demonstrate your ability. Once your portfolio is complete, remember to maintain and update it, and this will bring a theme of natural progression to your portfolio.
