The importance of showcasing your graphic design

If you are a graphic designer or have a design agency then you should be aware of the importance of a portfolio. Many potential clients will want to see examples of previous work you have done and even before and after graphics for rebranding.

Show your potential clients examples of many different types of designs (if possible) such as websites, business cards and flyers / brochures. It may be that they have come to you for a website but if they like the business cards you have designed for previous clients then they may well use you for other print work too.

A website is a great way to showcase previous works, so if you have one, make sure that you have examples of designs you have created and links to working sites etc. If ding print work, ensure that you always triple check anything before sending it to the printers and try and keep a copy of the final product on file.
