Many designers favour Macs over PC’s and say that they are much better for design work. Apple Macs do offer some advanced features that you may struggle to get on a PC but also come with a hefty price tag. For a decent mid range new Apple MacBook you can expect to pay upwards of a thousand pounds compare to maybe five to six hundred for a Windows laptop.

The majority of the theories that stat Macs are better than PC’s for design are based on historical facts. Adobe Photoshop, for example, was born on the Mac. This was because at the time it was the only system to be able to handle to colour display and had the capacity to handle the program.
